i'm chasing a story i heard (yuletide 2016)
Dear Yuletide Author,
Hey! Thank you so much for offering to write for one of these fandoms. This is my second time doing Yuletide, so I'm still pretty new to everything to do with it. With that said, I had a blast last year, and I'm looking forward to it again this year! I love all of these fandoms, and I'm stoked to read whatever you write for them!!
My ao3 is yesterday, and you're more than welcome to take a look around at whatever I've got on there to get an idea of my likes/dislikes. That being said, I'm gonna go into those in further detail within this letter. And of course, please take this letter as more of a general guidelines than a hard, fast set of rules. I know what it's like to have inspiration strike in a totally different direction, and honestly, I'm really easy to please. I will love anything you write for me like it is a cute fluffy puppy!

Imagine my surprise when I went on AO3 to see if BNHA could possibly qualify for Yuletide and then IMAGINE MY GLEE WHEN I REALISED IT COULD SCRAPE BY AND THEN IT DID!!!! There are so many things I love about it: I am a huge fan of the underdog premise it has going on with Midoriya, and in general I'm in love with the entire cast. It reminds me a lot of One Piece in the sense that the majority of the characters gets a good amount of screen time, and I am always a sucker for a good shounen manga. I'm requesting Todoroki, Midoriya, and Bakugou this year, but please feel free to write about only one of them or two of them or whatever mashup of them pleases you!! And of course, bring in any characters from the manga as is necessary. I'm also not necessarily looking for ship fic, but if you wanna write it, by all means! I love gen fic just as much, however, so.
All three of these characters are near and dear to my heart, and I am especially fond of Todoroki and Deku and their dramatic throw down at the school festival (you have to hear me screaming IT'S YOUR POWERRRR!!!! irl sometime), and I really love how Todoroki eventually draws a bit out of his shell and comes to slowly accept himself with Midoriya's help! But really the dark horse of BNHA for me has to be Kacchan, who I absolutely couldn't stand at the beginning but now has turned into one of my favourites because he is SO GOOD but still absolutely awful, but he is DOING HIS BEST, he's just got an explosive way of going about it. Seriously, best character development has to go to Bakugou. I think one of my favourite moments with all three of them has to be when Todoroki and Deku were having their tete-a-tete during the school festival, and then later on again, when everyone went to rescue Bakugou!
prompts/suggestions
- five times deku, todoroki, and bakugou try to work together and fail spectacularly and the one time they work it out
- everyone in 1-A (and then some?) ganging up on bakugou and trying to give him tips on how to improve his personality
- todoroki trying to return the favour and helping midoriya figure out the mess that's one for all
- future fic where todoroki, deku, bakugou or some configuration of compete for number 1 hero
natsume yuujinchou;
natsume takashi, natsume reiko, madara (nyanko-sensei!!), matoba seiji
Natsume Yuujinchou is absolutely my favourite slice of life with a dash of supernatural anime ever. I can't count how many times I've laughed over it and cried over it. And honestly? I don't have the words to describe how much I love it, but here I go anyway! What I love the most about this series is how it deals with Natsume's growth; how he gradually learns to trust again, how he comes to slowly accept the ayakashi in his life, how bit by bit he gains friends and family and is no longer alone. The warmth that surrounds him is always like a big sucker punch in the best way to my gut, and I'm so excited that after ages and ages, we have season five!! So if you can't tell, I've mostly kept up with the anime, and I've read parts of the manga but I'm not up to date with it!
I'm not really looking for ship fic here, but I would love a lot of focus on Natsume and his relationships with his family, friends, and ayakashi. If it sounds a lot like I'm just asking for anything like canon, it's because I would LOVE that lmao. So basically I would love anything that features Natsume helping out a youkai with a problem, however reluctantly, and coming to realise that really, maybe being able to see them isn't so bad. Maybe even something with Nyanko-sensei! Along that line, I would also love anything that showcases his growing bond with the Fujiwaras. Uh, also Matoba is in the my list because it's a guilty ship of mine, but as always, please don't feel like you need to use all the characters requested. (Tip: I love Matoba because he's creepy and I want to know who wants to eat his eye. Maybe I want his eye to get eaten. Maybe I want Natsume to help him not have his eye get eaten.) With that being said, here are some possible things to play around with!

- nyanko-sensei in that one human girl (reiko?) guise and natsume fake dating because of whatever reason, but like, actual fake dating please lmao, and this possibly leading natsume to realise oh, he can learn about reiko by asking nyanko-sensei too!! or just shenanigans and a lot of misunderstandings by everyone around them.
- five times natsume reminds madara of reiko
- a weird courtship fic where matoba tries to woo natsume over to the dark side and everyone tries to tell natsume what a bad idea it is
- nyanko-sensei gets kidnapped! everyone tries to find him
gekkan shoujo nozaki-kun;
mikoshiba mikoto, nozaki mayu
WHEN WILL GSNK GET THE SEASON 2 THAT IT DESERVES SO MAYU CAN HAVE SCREEN TIME? WHEN? This is my biggest question of all, if we got a fifth Natsume Yuujinchou, where is Gekkan Shoujo's? (I'm greedy, I know). I love everything about GSNK-- I love the characters, I love the writing, I love how funny it is, and I love how much love obviously went into it. My favourite characters? Everyone! But I do have a special soft spot for Mikoshiba because I feel him on so many levels. Of course, Gekkan Shoujo is really also another one of those fandoms where it would be weird not to have the full cast pitch in, so feel free to bring in everyone else from the series at will!
I think my favourite thing about Mikorin is how he tries so hard to be a suave ladies man, but he just isn't. He's a pure hearted shoujo heroine, and everyone, especially Sakura and Nozaki know it. You can say all the pick up lines you want, Mikorin, but at the end of the day, I'm gonna be the one pulling the kabedon on you. And I love Mayu because he just wants to be low energy and lazy, I love how Nozaki translates for him, and I love that Mayu and Mikorin are like, blog buddies and DON'T EVEN REALISE IT. I love that he illustrates judo through questionable pictures and his friend RUNS A BLOG ON IT.That being said, while I'd love shipfic for them, I'm not looking for anything beyond a teen rating! In fact, you're also welcome to write genfic for them.
prompts/suggestions
- mikorin wants to get to know mayu better and enlist sakura and nozaki to "help"
- mikorin and mayu start to deepen their friendship via blog and text until suddenly, they end up dating online, and through a series of misunderstandings, never realise who is who until they inevitably try to meet up (WHETHER THEY ACTUALLY DO OR NOT IS DEBATABLE)
- mayu and mikorin play an otome game together
- mikorin and mayu end up stuck at nozaki's apartment alone because of a freak storm and ???
- mayu ends up stepping in to help nozaki with "let's fall in love!" having a sudden deadline; everyone is at the apartment, shenanigans ensue (mayu you can't sleep yet!)
