Dear Yuletide Author,
Hello, and thank you for writing for me! This is my first year doing Yuletide (though I've done other fic exchanges before) and it is a bit overwhelming, but I'm super excited to be participating in it!! I'm on ao3 at yesterday, please feel free to check out what I've written. Most of it happens to be one fandom, but that's because I'm kind of going through a phase right now (see: obsession).
Anyway, unlike my ao3 works, I really enjoy reading and writing about a great deal of things! I'm also a lot like a dog in the sense that I will be happy with whatever you give me, and seeing as I'm really into writing what I personally enjoy, there's no reason why you shouldn't do the same! But rather than giving you such vague parameters to puzzle over, here's some guidelines. There are by no means hard rules, just a starting point/something to bounce off of!
LIKES: comedy, seven minutes in heaven type of tropes, fake relationships that lead to real ones, angst in small doses, ship/genfic, alternate universes, canon what-ifs/divergences, humor, banter, reincarnation, slice of life, reunions, hurt/comfort, friendships, guro, dubcon
DISLIKES: mpreg, scat, noncon, self harm, first person point of view
I've included some prompts for each fandom which are totally not mandatory, but just ideas you can use!
DONTEN NI WARAU
kumou tenka, kinjou shirasu
This was honestly one of those series I got into expecting something super shounen (which it delivered), but I didn't expect it to also break my heart in the process. Which it did. I really adore the relationships between the characters in Donten ni Warau, especially between the Kumou siblings, and of course, between Tenka and Shirasu. Tenka is 100% my favourite character in Donten, because I have a serious thing for characters who stick by their values and like to rescue strays no one would would take in (see: Shirasu). Speaking of Shirasu, let's just say I didn't expect for things to turn out the way they did for him. He's one of the most complex characters in the series in my opinion, because he's shouldering all this weight on his back-- the weight of the Fuuma and then of Tenka and etc.'s trust in him, yet he still chooses to go through with what he did. Both him and Tenka have a sense of duty towards their family/clan, but really I just want to see them happy. Preferably together.

heartbeats. Whether it's a one time kind of thing, I would love to read a reunion type thing between Tenka and Shirasu! - on a more lighthearted and risqué note, a during canon, behind the scenes relationship fic between Tenka and Shirasu would be great; like a how-it-all-started or five times deal
- IF YOU WOULD PREFER TO DO SOMETHING GEN, try going full on with the family theme!! Have Tenka and shirasu worry and fuss over how to raise two younger siblings, have Tenka ask Shirasu how to tell Soramaru that Nishiki is probably Just Not That Into Him, etc.
That being said, though I've requested Tenka and Shirasu, because the rest of the cast, particularly Soramaru and Chuutarou intertwine a lot with them, I am absolutely okay with anyone else from the cast appearing in the fic!
GEKKAN SHOUJO NOZAKI-KUN
nozaki, sakura, mikorin, mayu
Where do I even begin? Gekkan Shoujo is hands down on of the best shows/manga I've seen/read in the past few years, and I am heads-over-heels for everything about it-- the characters, the tone, how hilarious it is. Everything. I love that even though it's about shoujo manga, that doesn't completely overtake the series and instead works with it to make for some truly great scenes. As far as ships go within the fandom, I enjoy the canon ships! So Nozaki/Chiyo, Waka/Seo, Kashima/Hori, etc etc. But I've decided to throw Mayu into the mix because I have a painful thirst for Mikorin and Mayu together. Or maybe not, depending on what you feel like writing! I am 100% down with gen fic as well. One thing to note however: I would prefer that nothing explicit (so above PG-13) be included! Thank you.
potential prompts:
- Double date. Need I say more?
- Nozaki and Sakura on Mikorin's developing relationship with mayumayu. Is it cheating? Is Mamiko cheating on Suzuki? Wait, but they're both girls so-- well, you see what I mean.
- Mayu stays with Nozaki for a couple days or a night because of whatever reason (a judo tournament in the area?) and Sakura and Mikorin come over to work on "Let's Love!" Chaos ensues.
Of course, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is funniest when all the characters are included, so please feel free to whomever else would help out with the fic from the full cast!
ONE-PUNCH MAN
saitama, genos
What I love most when it comes to One-Punch Man: it's shounen without actually being shounen. All the elements of what could've been a great, traditional shounen are there, but rather than taking everyone down the same old route of winning through the power of your nakama and etc, it cuts right to the chase in a humorous way! Basically I like OPM because it's different haha, and of course I love the characters! I especially love the relationship between Saitama and Genos, because rather than teaching Genos the finer points of fighting, they've ended up on a whole different track.
potential prompts:
-Saitama and Genos attend a robot conference in hopes of getting a lead on whomever wrecked Genos’s family (it turns out to be a dead end)
- five times Genos was turned into modern art, Genos does his best to raise Saitama’s popularity campaign
- anything that is a lot like OPM but focused on Genos and Saitama and their dynamics is good, in short!
I'm okay with them being paired together, but I’d prefer not to receive anything explicit please! And of course, feel free to throw any characters into the mix which would make it easier to write.
UCHOUTEN KAZOKU
yasaburo, yajirou
Ever since I watched Uchouten Kazoku, I've had a newfound appreciation for tanuki. And family. And living your life in the most interesting way possible. (Mostly I am in it for the tanuki.) Okay, in all seriousness, I love how Uchouten Kazoku plays out like a fairy tale. A lot of suspension of belief is definitely required, but I love how it doesn't try to explain itself and just lets you take things as they are. Yes, there are tanuki who disguise themselves as human among us, and sure, tengu too. Why not? And of course, it's pretty much impossible to be into Uchouten if you aren't into the whole family thing, which I'm HUGE on. Especially Yasaburou and Yajirou.
potential prompts:
- Yasaburou, Yajirou, and leaving the well
- five other times Yasaburou went to ask Yajirou for advice
- Yasaburou and Yajirou when they were younger
- tl;dr, anything with them bonding!
I would really prefer there to be no incest however, thanks! Please feel free to throw in any other characters as you see fit as well.
