PETER HALE FOR MAYOR.
Dear Author,
Let it be known right off the bat that I love Peter Hale more than I reasonably should, so I am super excited for this whole week dedicated to him which will produce ALL THE NEW THINGS with him in it! I'm ridiculously stoked to write for it and see what everyone else will create.
You can find my AO3 here, and you're more than welcome to take a look around at whatever I've got on there to get an idea of my likes/dislikes. That being said, I'm gonna go into those in further detail within this letter. And of course, please take this letter as more of a general guidelines than a hard, fast set of rules.
what i love about peter hale;
Unapologetic survivor, could probably place first on Jeopardy (seriously, how much random trivia does he know?), cares deeply about his family even if it manifests in twisted ways, manipulative and deceitful, morally grey, goal driven. One side I really enjoy about him is how he'll do anything to protect those he cares about!

chris argent/peter hale;
I will be entirely honest. Up until this scene happened I hadn't really considered the possibility of Chris/Peter. When I watched this episode and their little confrontation in the sewer, I lost it immediately after. Because hello, you can't just pull the head bump out of nowhere without any explanation whatsoever. And not just the head bump! The close proximity! The neck grabbing! All of it! There has to be a thing behind it!! Behind them! And when I thought about it, I was like, I can't be alone in this. Which I wasn't!
The thing I love the absolute most about Chris and Peter is the whole starcrossed, hunter and werewolf forbidden relationship thing going on. Yes, the Romeo and Juliet thing. I like it set pre-canon, during canon, post canon, I will take it in any flavour! The bloody history behind their families sets a great stage for tension and antagonism, but also working slowly towards a resolution and setting aside their differences in time. Maybe through makeouts.
(Definitely through makeouts.) And working together. Yeah.
I think they're very oil and water, sort of polar opposites. Chris has a strict honour code, Peter basically has no scruples and is morally flexible, so I love seeing how they could mesh out. Could Chris rub off on Peter as a positive influence? Or can Peter show Chris the world isn't black and white?
I don't have a preference for who tops, if you want to write something smutty!
prompts/suggestions
- Fix-it fic where Chris and Peter knew each other pre-canon,
Chris finds out about the fire and prevents it, but that leads to a whole boat load of consequences. (Maybe Chris ends up enveloped into the Hale pack? Maybe the Hales all die anyway apart from Peter, Derek, Laura, Cora, and Chris helps pull them back together? The possibilities are endless!)
- Anything where Peter and Chris are forced to work together! Maybe there's some supernatural threat, because Beacon Hills, and everyone else in the pack is out of commission so they are left with no choice
- Role reversal. The Argents are werewolves, the Hales are hunters.
- Chris leaves for France with Isaac, and never returns. Peter shows up on Chris's doorstep one day unannounced, maybe injured? Maybe just because he could?
- Neckz' n Throats AU, I will die happy.

peter hale/derek hale
Hello, did someone say dysfunctional family relationships with unhealthy codependency for 200? Yes, I did.
The Hales are fucked up, and I love it. First: Derek and Laura run off and leave their comatose uncle behind in Beacon Hills? Cool, cool, cool, okay,
because that's obviously what you do to family, to pack. So who can blame Peter for being a little upset and greeting his nephew with claws to the gut during "Night School"? Werewolves, man. They play rough. I love Derek/Peter because throughout the entirety of Teen Wolf, they are constantly teetering on some weird dynamic where they bounce between trusting each other a little, to trusting each other not at all, to BETRAYAL. Thanks, Peter.
It's fascinating to me how there are so many issues they need to work through, but never actually talk about, and how Derek clearly wants to trust Peter but can't because Peter isn't the same Peter he knew before the fire. Also, killing Peter probably made things a little awkward between them, never mind how there was this recurring question of: is he going to do it? Is Peter going to try and kill Derek for the alpha spark? throughout season 3.
So there's that ongoing struggle of broken trust between them and still trying to regain it because they're the only family either of them have left which I adore. As a ship, I love it because there's so much potential for badwrong werewolfy closeness that humans just don't get. Or just plain badwrong, I'm really not picky. I mean, Peter was weirdly obsessed with Derek when he was younger (or just meddling, who knows), as seen in "Visionary". There are so many ways this could play out.
prompts/suggestions
- Pre-fire fic, where Derek and Peter were close until the fire happened, then trying to get back to that level afterwards ("What do I have to do to get you to trust me again?")
- Mates. Maybe they were always mates, but Talia hated that and tried to keep them apart, or maybe it was perfectly normal in packs.
- Canon divergence where Laura dies in the fire, the alpha spark gets passed to Derek, who stays with Peter while he heals in the hospital. They only have each other and will do anything to keep the other alive. Also, somewhere along the way they kill off the Argents, nbd.
- FAMILY THERAPY, PLEASE, they need it so bad.
- Awkward courting rituals.
- Honestly, I'd love anything where Derek and Peter struggle to pick up the pieces in canon and work on their relationship (or maybe they don't, and they just fuck. Unhealthily. That works for me too!)

(whatever, deucalion. you murdered your whole pack.)
peter hale/deucalion
Thiiiiis ship probably seems pretty out of the blue, but look. They're both affably evil, and together they could be two times that. But no, other than that, I think Peter and Deucalion could be interesting as a ship because canon Deucalion has what Peter wants: power. Power and pack! I can see Peter being drawn in by that, plus I'll admit, I just love smooth villains trying to outsmart each other in increasingly devious ways until they make out.
I also think there's great potential for some history and angst there. Maybe something where Peter knew Deucalion before the incident in the distillery?
The Hale pack and Deucalion's seemed close before the fire; they totally could have had inter-pack parties or whatever where Deucalion was all optimism and maybe a great chess player who ran into cynical, pragmatic younger Peter who also played chess. Or what if the Alpha pack came into town because there was old history between them, and came into Beacon Hills to find Peter? What if the Beacon Hills pack made a truce with the Alpha pack, but one of the conditions was that they had to trade one of their betas in?
prompts/suggestions
- Past history Deucalion and Peter, either romantic or not, and when the Alpha pack comes into town, shit goes down. Maybe Peter tries to bargain with Deucalion to keep Derek alive and it comes at a cost. ;)
- Canon divergence where instead of Deucalion slaughtering his whole pack, or maybe he does, ambitious Peter who's suffocated by Talia's shadow steps in and becomes part of the Alpha pack; they go and kill Gerard together in a romantic bonding experience??
- WEREWOLF COURTING. Why? Why not, Peter's smart, he'd be a great asset to any pack. Provided he doesn't try to kill you.
- Going off the above, five times Peter tried to outsmart Deucalion and murder him for his power. Or maybe just five times Peter tries to become an Alpha to impress him.
- Peter's the Alpha, Deucalion is too, they have to ally and what better way to do than that by marriage. WHAT BETTER WAY, there is no better way.
closing thoughts;
And that's it! This is the end of my letter. Obviously all the prompts in here are suggestions, and springboards. If something else comes out of it and it goes in a vastly different direction, chances are I'll adore it, provided nothing in my dislikes list shows up. I hope this has been helpful, and if it hasn't, please do contact one of the mods to get more info from me.
Thank you for writing for me!
